Targeting IT Talent
AI and ChatGPT in Recruitment are coming whether you like it or not. One of the scary reports suggests that the job of RECRUITER is in the top 20 jobs that AI will replace.
I watched a presentation recently where ChatGPT set up a new recruitment agency by writing the entire website content and a job advert in a total of 9 MINUTES.
And for candidates, yes ChatGPT can write the perfect CV too. BUT here is the thing……. If ChatGPT is writing the perfect CV, can you really use ChatGPT or AI to evaluate CVs? Wouldn’t it be marking its own homework?
From the candidate point of view, an AI research article in HRreview shows that candidates draw the line at having AI involved in their job-seeking journey and how face-to-face interactions are non-negotiable.
Most candidates do not think it is acceptable for AI to conduct job interviews (86%) or help with the decision-making process after an interview (84%).
Only one in 10 (14%) would accept an interview conducted by an AI, with three-quarters (66%) of participants worried about AI’s inability to fairly assess a candidates’ wider soft skills.
So, with a future of perfect CVs and candidates that still want the human touch, looks like recruiters who can really evaluate candidates’ capabilities and behavioural competencies will still be needed.
