Targeting IT Talent

Recruiting needs quick reactions and decision making

To recruit technology talent, you need to impress candidates with quick reactions & decision making in the recruitment process. Here is a prime example of how to win talent with my client’s first-class reactions last week:

Wednesday – I submitted the CV of a candidate for a specific vacancy. Client reviews  CV and requests Teams interview for Friday

Friday – Candidate interviewed. Client so impressed with candidate that a verbal job offer is made the same day. Candidate verbally accepts.

Monday – HR sent the offer in writing to the candidate

Tuesday – Candidate resigns

Wednesday – Candidate returns signed offer letter and start date agreed with the client.

This candidate had many other invitations to interview but cancelled them after they were so impressed with my client.

If you can’t respond and react as quickly as this, then what is stopping you? What do you need to change to be able to react and recruit in this way?

You need to recruit like this if you want to avoid losing candidates to the competition.
