The Vacancy of Data Systems Analyst / Developer / Engineer
Data Systems Analyst / Developer / Engineer required to develop our client’s system and database capabilities that provide vital performance data / business intelligence / data analytics to the business. It is a great opportunity to lead the future direction of the data systems for this company. These systems / databases use PHP, MySQL, SQL querying, Python and Apache in a scrum environment.
This is a broad role as you’ll liaise with business colleagues to understand their data & system needs then bring ideas for applications development to improve functionality in a Scrum environment. You will then develop and test this new functionality before going into the live environment.
You’ll also help identify the best tools for data analysis / business intelligence / big data and ensure the ongoing reliability of the systems and data used by the business to analyse & improve performance. Essentially you will provide systems management.

Our client is an SME company, in the green energy / renewable energy sector with engineering projects. Its sector is growing offering you lots of interesting development projects on the horizon for expanding the data management tools and systems.
About You
We would like to hear from you if enjoy working in a dynamic environment and have:
- Broad development experience through the full development lifecycle including PHP with MySQL
- Python
- Ability to work directly with the business to understand system / data needs and provide ideas for new functionality
- An analytical approach
- Ability to learn new development languages.
It would be beneficial if you have some knowledge or skills of MS Wins development environment, Apache and API or interest in data for engineering projects but not essential.
Location: Bristol
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + bonus + pension + benefits
